So, it’s true…this EP is done. Ready for giving and receiving. Next steps include some sort of physical release and preparing for our first show on September 10th. We hope to see you guys there for our first show. Seeing as we are a cross-country collaboration, who knows how many of these things we’ll be able to have…so make sure to come on out if you’re near the area. We’re looking to have this thing released to the public asap, but we’ll have some friends of ours stream it for your listening pleasure next week. We hope you’re doing well and thank you for your patience for this EP to come out. Pretty exciting. Stay tuned. <3

Mr. Newsham wrote lyrics for five of the six songs, and I wrote the lyrics for the final song on the EP. The songs talk about making mistakes and being at your lowest points in life, but using these moments to learn from and become better. Sweet just ain’t as sweet without the sour. The songs talk about love too. Sure it could be simple like loving someone or learning to let your guard down, but also about having love for life and each moment you live in. Love’s a tricky thing and it drives you to your highest highs and lowest lows, but these songs celebrate having it at all. The overall theme is to just enjoy each moment. Sure there are those awful times when you just wanna walk away from everything, but it just makes you grateful for those awesome ones. Celebrate good times, c’mon!
A wonderful announcement has been made! Our friend Thomas of Forgive Durden is hosting a fantastic show for his moving away party, and has invited us to open it up! This makes for not only the physical release of our EP, but our very first show. Nervous? A bit. Excited? 100%. The details to the show are below. If you are anywhere near the Seattle area, it would be twerrific if you could come. Muchas gracias.

Good call, matthewhietpas. Aside from PD being musically more chill than the other projects, our songs don’t coincide to a theme like Gatsby’s did. You nailed it - along with Lazarus. You both win…the satisfaction of knowing how all things work in the world. Be sure to let us know about 2012. Snoogans.
